For 20 years in the U.S. Navy, I operated in high-stakes environments where performance mattered, but energy made all the difference. I didn’t realize it at the time, but after seeing some struggle and others succeed in similar environments, it clicked! I saw firsthand that what holds most people back isn’t lack of skill or vision - it’s the quiet voice of the inner critic.
